Join us on 7 July 2026 to celebrate the inaugural UAOA Day
A global movement for safer online spaces in sport.
Sport has the power to unite people.
Online abuse does the opposite.
Across all levels of sport, athletes, officials, journalists, volunteers and fans are increasingly exposed to harassment, hate speech, intimidation and targeted abuse online. These behaviours can affect mental health, participation, performance and the overall integrity of sporting environments.
UAOA Day is a visible milestone in United Against Online Abuse’s ongoing work to build safer and more respectful online spaces in sport. It brings together federations, clubs, institutions, athletes, media stakeholders and communities around one shared objective:
Building safer, more respectful online spaces in sport.
Developed within the framework of the FIA-led Erasmus+ project “Developing a Pan-European Framework to Combat Online Abuse in Sport”, UAOA Day is designed as an international awareness and mobilisation initiative combining communications, education, stakeholder engagement and visible action online and on-site.
