The United Against Online Abuse (UAOA) Educational Workshop Toolkit provides sport organisations, communities and individuals with free resources to develop and deliver an introductory workshop on online abuse in sport.
Designed to inform, engage and empower, the toolkit and workshops help turn awareness into meaningful action against online abuse in sport.
About the Toolkit
Education Designed for Every Sporting Community
From grassroots clubs to international federations, online abuse affects athletes, officials, volunteers and everyone who makes sport possible. Yet recognising harmful behaviour is only part of the challenge. Knowing how to respond, where to seek support and what action to take is equally important.
The UAOA Educational Workshop Toolkit brings these essential skills together in a flexible, research-informed educational framework.
Guided by a detailed Facilitator Handbook, the toolkit combines real-world sporting examples, interactive exercises and practical reporting guidance across three core and two customisable modules, helping participants understand how online abuse develops, the harm it causes and the role they can play in addressing it.
Designed to be adapted to different audiences, sports and cultural contexts, the workshop offers accessible 30- and 40-minute formats, making it easier for organisations to bring meaningful education into their communities.
