5 Oct 2026

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide, has today welcomed the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) to its United Against Online Abuse (UAOA) Coalition.

By signing the UAOA Charter, WFDF pledges to combat digital hate speech and promote a safe, inclusive sports environment, ensuring that flying disc sports continue to positively impact lives both on and off the field.

“The continued growth of the United Against Online Abuse coalition demonstrates the determination of global sport to tackle online abuse collectively” said H.E. Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the FIA and UAOA Founder. “We are pleased to welcome the World Flying Disc Federation and look forward to working together to share knowledge, promote best practices, and foster positive online environments across sport.”

The World Flying Disc Federation is the international sports federation responsible for the world governance of flying disc (frisbee) sports, including Ultimate, Beach Ultimate, Disc Golf, Freestyle, Guts, and Individual Events.

In joining over 75 other sport organisations, governments, academics and technology organisations in the UAOA Coalition, WFDF and its Member National Federations will gain access to resources, tools and events to advance their efforts to tackle online abuse in sport.

“By signing this Charter, we are making a commitment to uphold best practices in the prevention and removal of online hate speech in all its forms,” said Robert “Nob” Rauch, President at WFDF. “Our sport is fundamentally built on inclusivity, community, and the Spirit of the Game. We want to ensure that every athlete, volunteer, official, and fan feels protected in our digital spaces so that we can ‘keep sport social’.”
